The Ottawa Fury Soccer Club offers a variety of Grassroots Soccer Skill Development Programs through its First Touch Program, School of Excellence Program and Camp Programs that allow players from across the Nation's Capital, Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec to continue to work on developing all aspects of their game.
FIRST TOUCH (ages 4-7)
Under the advisement of coaches from Tottenham Hotspur, the Canadian Soccer Association's Coaching Development Program - Active Start, and the desire of our own technical staff to enhance our development programming the Fury are introduced the First Touch Program in 2010 to do our part in introducing players into the game at the youngest age possible. The First Touch Program is comprised of 32 weeks broken into three phases. Phase 1 is a 5-week outdoor program running from late August to early October where players train once a week on weekends. Phase 2 is a 15-week indoor program that runs from early November to the end of March where players train once a week on weekends. Phase 3 is a 12-week outdoor programming running May through July where players train twice a week in the early evenings. The First Touch Program caters to players aged 4-7 that are new to the sport of soccer and interested in learning the basic skills sets, understanding the game, developing a relationship with the ball and most importantly have FUN! SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE (Ages 8-12)
The School of Excellence Program is the second stage in the Fury Player Development Program and is open to youth players aged 8-12 that are looking to continue to develop their skills. First founded in 2007, the idea behind the program is to ensure that players have as much contact with the ball as possible to aid in their touch, familiarity, control and confidence. The program is broken into two phases - Phase 1 is a 5-week outdoor program that is offered FREE by the club and runs in the early fall while Phase 2 is a 15-week indoor program that runs November-March. The Club has recently added a Phase 3 for the summer of 2012 with outdoor programming running May through July. For more information on the program or to register click here.
FURY CAMPS (Ages 8-14)
Fury Camps are offered at a variety of points throughout the year. Camps are offered during the March Break (Ottawa School Calendar) and during the month of July. The Fury also offer team camps - where Fury coaches and/or PDL or W-League players will run one or several training sessions for your teams. The Fury also offer community camps that can run for a day or multiple weeks - in years past the Fury have run Community Camps in Brockville, Perth, Portland and West Carleton. The summer of 2012 will have camps that include the Tottenham Hotspur Player Development Camp (July 9-13), the Ottawa Fury Girls Week (July 2-6) and the Ottawa Fury Skill Development Camp (July 16-20).

SOCCER IN SCHOOLS
The Fury's Soccer in School's Program is one that we take great pride in. Fury PDL and W-League players visit local and area schools to help educate students about the importance of staying active and maintaining a healthy diet as part of our partnership with Health Canada. Students also get to spend time on the field with these players practicing their skills and even challenging these elite athletes to games. All students receive tickets to Fury PDL/W-League games along with other items from Club sponsors. For more information on the Soccer in Schools Program please click here.
