[2011.08.31 - Ottawa, ON] Reserves Finish Terrific Inaugural Season in Second Place Fury PDL Reserves Highlight Hot Bed of Young Up-and-Comers for Fury On Thursday evening, the Ottawa Fury PDL Reserves completed a terrific inaugural season in OCSL Men’s Premier league with a narrow victory over bottom-dwellers CCA Lions, and as a result, will finish the campaign in a tie for second place. The final game against the lowly Lions, a team who has yet to pick up a point this season, was not expected to be much of a challenge. However the game proved to be much tougher than expected. The win capped off a highly successful 2011 season for the Reserves, finishing with an impressive record of 9 wins, 2 draws, and only 3 losses, and surprising many with their performance.
[2011.08.16 - Ottawa, ON] Reserves Hopes of Miraculous First-Year MP Championship Disappear Fury PDL Reserves 0 Capital United 5 The 2011 Fury Reserves came close to pulling off an amazing and very rare feat in soccer - winning a league championship in a team's first year following promotion. With back to back wins against Capital United on Monday and Thursday of this week, the Fury would be all but assured of a first-place finish. It would not be easy however with only 7 of the regular Reserves in the line up. The balance of the team was filled in with Fury U17 players. Hopes of pulling off a miraculous season and doing something that is almost never done, at any level of the sport, came to a crashing end as the Fury lost their first of two to Cap U by a score of 5-0.
[2011.08.11] Reserves Defeat Rockers with Just 10 Men Keep Championship Hopes Alive Ottawa Fury PDL Reserves 1 Ottawa Rockers 0 With just three games remaining in the 2011 Mens Premier season, the Fury Reserves hopes for a championship are still very much alive, thanks to a 1-nil win over the Ottawa Rockers. The Fury remain in second place, just two points behind Gloucester Celtic but have a game in hand.
The Reserves played the entire 92-minute match with just ten players owing to unexpected illnesses, injuries, players who have returned to college, and even a couple who did not have their player cards.
[2011.08.05 - Ottawa, ON] Late Goal From Cameron Davis Caps Comeback in Reserve's First Place Battle Ottawa Fury PDL Reserves 3 Gloucester Celtic 3 It was a battle for first place but for the first 70 minutes of the match it looked like the Fury did not show up to play. But, a fortunate penalty kick goal from Ryan Brousseau turned the game around, and a late equalizer from Cameron Davis secured the draw and a valuable single point. As a result, the leader board is now even tighter with the four teams clustered around the top, within 2 points of each other.
[2011.07.21 - Ottawa, ON] Still in First Place at Halfway Point of the Season Despite Heartbreaking 2-1 Loss to Royals At the halfway point of the 2011 season, their first in the top-tier Men's Premier Division, the Fury PDL Reserves continue to sit in first place. They share the top of the table position however with Capital United and Nepean Hotspurs.

| The Ottawa Fury is one of the most highly respected soccer clubs in North America. Our youth teams are well respected across the USA and regularly compete each fall in the North American Super Y League championships in Tampa. At the peak of the Fury program, our men’s Premier Development League (PDL) team, coached by Stephen O’Kane, had its best year ever in 2008. To feed the PDL team and to give players with PDL potential a chance to be a part of the Ottawa Fury organization, we have started a PDL Reserves program in 2009.
We are applying to the OCSL for a place in Men’s Premier. Should this effort not be successful, the team will play in Men’s Division One under the Ottawa Falcons banner.
Tryouts for the spring/summer edition of the Ottawa Fury PDL Reserves will begin in May.
We are looking for serious players who like hard work and have a strong training ethic. If we are assigned to play Men’s Div One, we need players dedicated to the Fury’s goal of winning the league and earning promotion into the Premier league. We believe that the Ottawa Fury must be in the Men’s Premier league, and we might need your help to get us there for 2010.
