Notes:
Professional Development Academy (PDA): Players at the U17 level and above are members of the club's Professional Development Academy. The Club offers Senior Teams which play in the USL W-League and the USL PDL as well as the USL Super-20 League and OCSL Men's Premier and Women's Premier Divisions. See the appropriate PDA, Women and Men's pages on the web site for more details.
Playing Up: Players may be moved upward into "older" teams at the discretion of a Club Technical Director in consulatation with the coaching staff.
Early Admission: In exceptional cases, players born in late 2003 may be admitted into the U9 team.
Age Groups Explained: The Canadian Soccer Association (CSA) uses age groupings based on calendar year (beginning Jan 1st ) while the US Soccer Federation uses a year starting August 1st.
The Club uses Canadian age groups for all Prospects teams and for the PDA, W and PDL teams.
The Club uses US age groups for all Boys and Girls Elite teams (U13 to U16). The US dates essentially allow 5 months of additional eligibility for each year as compared to Canada.; e,g., players born in August through December 1997 are eligible for U14 teams in the US whereas they would be U15 in Canada. Another artifact of the US age groupings is that in Canada, the Fury U14 team, for example, is actually registered in Canada as a U15 team because of the presence of Aug - Dec 1997 players.
For our Prospects Program U9, U10, U11 and U12 teams, it means that when they play in Canadian competitions, they may register in the U9, U10, U11 and U12 age groups respectively whereas in the US competitions they will also play as U9, U10, U11 and U12 teams but could play against players up to 5 months older.
